This combined degree, offered jointly by UTS: Engineering and UTS: International Studies, links the Bachelor of Engineering (C10067) with the study of a language and culture other than English.
This combined degree offers a shortened version of the Bachelor of Arts International Studies together with a shortened version of the Bachelor of Engineering. Students who choose this course have less opportunity to elect specialist areas of study. On completion, students receive separate testamurs for each degree.
The purpose of the course is to develop skills for leadership in the professional practice of engineering while at the same time providing an opportunity to acquire knowledge and understanding of another language and culture. It reflects a belief in the international character of engineering and the conviction that Australian professionals can benefit from the early development of an international perspective and a fluency in cross-cultural interactions.
